Roma heads into this match in their best form in the last 12 months.

Last weekend's fixture with Catania was abandoned at the score tied at 1-1 which will be resumed at a later date, the team is still strong in confidence managing to win their last three games. The Roma side is close to returning to full fitness with the exception of Daniele De Rossi who is out with a suspected groin injury.

The good news for Roma is the availability of Fabio Borini and Aleandro Rosi as well as David Pizarro who is back from Chile and interested in re-committing himself to Roma. Roma's good form can also be attributed to Enrique's effort in spending time with the players to see where they went wrong and the club are looking to extend his contract since the start of December.

Cesena comes into this match after beating Novara last weekend. The win ended a run of four consecutive defeats in all competitions. However they still tend to depend on Adrian Mutu too much. It needs to be mentioned that he has now played a direct part in every goal the team have scored in their last three League wins.

The club have signed a deal on Czech international defender Daniel Pudil who will be on the bench this weekend. The main proble is their backline with the team having failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last five game in all competitions and only twice on their travels they kept a clean sheet.

It should be noted that Cesena have never beaten Roma in Serie A before. They managed five draws and five defeats from 10 previous meetings. Last season however it ended in a goalless draw.
