A big result had been a while coming and it came as no surprise to me that Arsenal hit Blackburn for 7 last week.

That 7-1 loss at the Emirates last Saturday was the worst Blackburn have ever suffered, and they have now conceded more goals than any other team in the top flight. Rovers are humiliated but they are at home, facing a team only just above them at the bottom of the table. Great chance to move ahead and I think we're in for a tasty match here, with Blackburn great value.

Not a lot of people are going to bet on Blackburn after they got turned out, at least your average punter with a 5 second memory won't. There is huge value on the Rovers and if you're going to go with a side, please take Blackburn. At home, they are quite capable of pulling off great wins, such as the thumping of Liverpool, and they did it away too, at the Theatre of Dreams, banging 3 goals past United to win.

Blackburn will have been preparing for this big time, and the team will have one dangerous addition that was missing last week, Yakubu. The striker was suspended last week and his inclusion here means there is a good chance they score. Mark Hughes, a hero at this ground, will bring QPR looking for a win but it will be tough as they have never won here, losing 4 times and drawing once. QPR have just 1 win in their last 12 and have gone 15 games without a clean sheet, which looks ominous.

Blackburn too are giving up goals and have not a single clean sheet to show this term. Unfortunately, the Both Teams To Score option has been priced down to 1.65 or so, which is bad value.

The Goal Totals market does not appeal either at current prices. I still want to have a punt on something involving the scoring, as both teams will be going hell for leather to get a win, because both fancy the other as being weak teams, there for the taking.

BETTING VERDICT

I've got to say Blackburn to win here, but will not bet on the result due to the ease with with both teams can concede. Perhaps Over 1.5 goals in the 1st half, as that is priced at a tasty 2.75 at Bet365.

Blackburn can jump above QPR with a 2 goal win here, and I think while they are a certainty to score, the price on Rovers to score at least 2 goals is too big to ignore.
