Miami Dolphins
What a poor, poor season for these Dolphins. Winless all year with 13 straight losses and the Dolphins are looking at a 0-16 season. They obviously have no chance of the play-offs but they will be going out for that crucial win for the 3 remaining games.
Miami might have nothing to play for play-off wise but they certainly shall be playing for their pride.
THe Fish have come very close to that 1st win but just couldn't hold on against the New York Giants at Wembley - losing it by 3 points and everybody thought their first win would come 2 weeks ago against the Jets @ home. They ended up losing that game 13-40 which could well mean that they finish 0-16.
With a defence giving up 27.3 points per game, it is very difficult for the offence to get the win they need. They have used 4 QB's this year which doesn't help and after the starting QB (John Beck) fumbled last sunday, the coach subsequently subbed him for another QB.
An offence is all about rythym and with different QB's every game it is very difficult.
Baltimore Ravens
It's also been a very poor season for the Ravens. People always expect this team to make the play-offs minimum but there will be none of that this season. They sit bottom of the AFC North with a 4-9 record.
The Ravens started the season 2-1 but since then it has just gone all downhill. After a 3-5 start with Steve Mcnair at the helm, he got injured and hasn't played since which means the pressure was put on Kyle Boller and while Boller has done ok but he just isn't ready to lead a team to the play-offs.
Week 13 probably brought the best performance out of Baltimore and they ended up losing that game to the Patriots. They deserved the win really but inexperienced QB and referees didn't help.
The Verdict
Two poor teams meet here and it all comes down to how each team attacks the game. I feel the Dolphins SHOULD want it more than the Ravens but after seeing the Dolphins all year, I just cannot put my money on them.
Baltimore put in 200% against the Patriots but got ran all over a week later against the Colts which shows me they aren't going out with 100% anymore.
If the Ravens led by Ray Lewis put in 80% against these Dolphins then they will take it and I would rather risk my money on the Ravens than the 0-13 Dolphins.
