Analysis:

A.C Milan after their win over defending Champions A.C Milan will start this match on high confidence and knowing that a win here could seal their spot for the Champions League if results go their way in other matches as well.

At the moment they are leading Fiorentina by one points after their win over Inter Milan while Fiorentina suffered a defeat to Cagliari. They have also recently completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer for next season so they have reasons to do well and play in the Champions League next season. They must not be complacent though as they have a tough match on final day with Udinese to play with and that is not a certainty of getting three points.

Carlo Ancelotti is unlikely to make many changes from the side that beat Inter Milan in their last match. It looks likely to be only one change and that too is because of a suspension. That means that Cristian Brocchi will come into the side to replace Andrea Pirlo. This means the likes of Kaka and Clarence Seedorf will have to work extra in midfield to compensate for the absence of Pirlo. But Kaka is the player to watch here as he scored against Inter and he is back in top form now.

But Napoli cannot be taken for granted as Roma is the only top five team that managed to come away from Naples without a defeat. Napoli must be commended here as they have done well in their first Serie A season since gaining promotion and Coach Edy Reja deserves all the credit here. If they could have managed to turn their draws into victories, they would even be staring at a spot in the UEFA Cup now.

Napoli zre playing their final home match this season and they will be able to welcome back Paolo Cannavaro who incidentally is the brother of Fabio Cannavaro back to the squad. He returns to the side to replace Fabiano Santacroce who is serving a one match ban himself. Manuele Blasi is another player suspended here so we can expect to see Michele Pazienza starting out in midfield.

With regards to past history, there is very few meetings between these two teams. We have to go back to the 1980's for the last time these two teams meet and that too they were battling for the Scudetto then. When they met at the San Siro earlier this season Alexandre Pato was the hero then when they triumphed 5-2. Milan knows that a win here could help them greatly in qualifying for the Champions League should they achieve the double over Napoli.
