Arizona is traveling east again, for the early start. No matter what they do to try to neutralize the effect, they just can't.
Only one team this season has traveled east and won, so it’s not just a problem with the Cardinals, but they seem to have more trouble than most doing it.
Carolina has a good running game, plus now with Steve Smith back they have that quick strike, big play wide receiver, that they were missing, while he was out. Defensively they are led by Peppers who is back to his dominate self. He will pressure Warner and disrupt his timing to throw the ball effectively.
Warner's not a mobile quarterback, and wont have the time he needs to be as effective as he’d like. Warner is either very good, or very bad. I feel this will be one of those very bad days, like he had against the Jets. His running game won’t bail him out either, they only average 87 yards a game, and only 3.2 yards a carry.
THE VERDICT
Arizona just hasn’t proven to me that they are a playoff caliber team. They have had promise for years, and haven’t lived up to it.
I still don’t think they are a quality team that can beat a good team, on the road, especially traveling east to do it.
