It's a new season, the newspapers are full of transfer talk and all round the globe there is the hopeful optimism of the football fan.

In England, the Premier League title has become the preserve of a small band of clubs (Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea) and betting on it is pointless for supporters of other teams.

As a result, a market that has grown in popularity is the Top Four Finish with quite an active market as the teams battle for a spot in the lucrative UEFA Champions League.

This year the bookmakers have Chelsea and Man City as almost certain to qualify at odds of just 1.04, while Manchester United and Arsenal are also seen as likely qualifiers at 1.50.

Next up are Liverpool (2.00) and Tottenham (4.50) at prices that might tempt a parochial fan while Everton at 8.00 are the only other viable contender.

Newcastle and Southampton priced up at 51.00 if you feel like a longshot and everyone else in the Premier League is quoted at triple figures.
