German Bundesliga News :: Bayern Munich record first win of season

Jurgen Klinsmann's FC Bayern have won their first Bundesliga game in 2008/09, defeating Hertha BSC 4-1.

Luca Toni opened the scoring from Bastian Schweinsteiger's pass after just twelve minutes. Miroslav Klose, Toni and Martin Demichelis all had chances to double Bayern's lead inside the first half.

The crowd were on their feet again after 54 minutes when Philipp Lahm scored Bayern's second with a beautiful curler after a neat one-two with Ze Roberto.

Schweinsteiger (56) and Klose (70) athen dded more goals from the penalty spot after Hertha defender Steve von Bergen had committed two fouls inside the box.

Marko Pantelic scored a consolation goal for the Berliners six minutes from time.
