Italian Serie A News :: Napoli say that coach Edy Reja will not be sacked

Napoli are in crisis as they take on Juventus tomorrow night, but the club insists Coach Edy Reja will not be sacked if he falls again.

The Partenopei are not talking to the Press and have been locked in a pre-match training camp to prepare for this tough task after picking up two points from seven games.

“Does Reja risk the sack? No, I really don’t think the match with Juventus can be a crucial stepping stone in this sense,” said director general Pierpaolo Marino.

“There is no need to over-dramatise or see everything as pitch black. Napoli are going through a moment of crisis and these things can happen over the course of a campaign.

“It was the same last season too, then we beat Inter – who had not lost in a year – and suddenly overcame our difficulties to qualify for the UEFA Cup.”
