Bookmakers News :: Punter lands £172K profit at Irish bookmaker Paddy Power

One lucky Paddy Power internet punter had more riding on the FA Cup final than most as it was the final leg in an 8-fold £100 Accumulator bet placed in January.

Some of the bets in the other legs included Barcelona to win the Champions League and Manchester United to win the English Premier League.

So everything had been going according to plan until the first 25 seconds of the FA Cup Final when Louis Saha fired Everton into a shock 1-0 lead.

But Chelsea battled back with goals from Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard to land the Cup, and ensure a payout of £172,892.05 for the internet punter.
