German Bundesliga News :: Rostock and Duisburg relegated after weekend losses

Hansa Rostock and Duisburg were relegated on Saturday after a dramatic afternoon of Bundesliga action.

Rostock lost 1-2 at home to Bayer Leverkusen and while Duisburg wre beaten 2-3 at home to Bayern Munich to seal the fate of the pair.

Nurnberg also looked likely to go down when they 1-0 at Hertha Berlin, but a late Borussia Dortmund equaliser at Arminia Bielefeld means that the 3rd relegation spot will be decided on the final day.

After the 2-2 draw with Dortmund, Bielefeld (33 pts) are now two points ahead of Nurnberg with one match remaining and one of these two sides will take the last relegation spot on the final day of the season.

Nurnberg, who have a far superior goal difference, host 3rd placed Schalke next Saturday and must win to have any chance of survival, while Bielefeld travel to 7th placed Stuttgart
