CHICAGO WHITE SOX
The White Sox have slumped and slumped hard right at the wrong time. They led their division 2 months ago, and now they're out, merely playing out the last of their games. It shows too, with the team going 2-12 and currently on a 0-8 streak. They're being outscored by 30 runs during this span. I can't see it stopping.
Chicago start Edwin Jackson today, and although he has done well since moving here from the Diamondbacks, the team as a whole just doesn't seem to be going for it as they should. Why bet on a team that won't give it 100%? It's like betting on Arsenal in the Carling Cup (ok that's a bad example today)
OAKLAND ATHLETICS
The Oakland Athletics are doing a lot better than Chicago and are at home here. They seem to do better when playing during the day than the lights, and they will be keen to take advantage of the White Sox slump.
Brett Anderson will be sent to the mound and he has been very impressive since coming back from a knee injury. Anderson is now 3-1 with an excellent 1.65 ERA in his 4 starts back.
Also, Anderson is a leftie. The White Sox are now on a 1-7 run against lefties. But then, they're crap with the righties too at the moment so not sure why I mentioned that.
Just trying to fill up space I guess. I think this will do now. I'm rambling.
