Match Preview :

After three matches Arsenal are still winless and will aim to rebound back after that heavy defeat against Manchester United in their last match.

Arsene Wenger brought in new players before the transfer market closes and will now hope that those players will have improved the squad.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers' Swansea have shown that they can compete with top-flight sides, after draws with Wigan and Sunderland, but their other away game has seen them suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Interestingly, this match will be the first time the two sides are meeting in 30 years after Swansea completed the double against the North London outfit in the old Division One in the 1981/82 season.

Arsenal after their failure to win against the Red Devils, has now gone six games without a win in the Premiership for the first time since 1994.

Wenger will now hope his side can start fresh after the departure of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri from the side. Swansea are in 15th spot having picked up one more point more then Arsenal after three games and the club still cannot believe they are in the Premiership after their playoff win last May.

Team News :

Arsene Wenger has to contend with injuries to the likes of Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere who are both out with ankle injuries. Thomas Vermaelen is also out while midfielder Tomas Rosicky is doubtful.

Andre Santos who was signed on transfer deadline day is doubtful of a start as the Brazilian full-back is lacking match practice. Gervinho and Alex Song misses out as they serve the last of their suspensions.

However on the plus side is that England duo Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs could return while starts are expected for new signings Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker who was signed on transfer deadline day.

South Korean striker Park Chu-Young, who joined from Monaco, and Yossi Benayoun, who made the switch from Chelsea, could make their debuts but are most likely to come on as substitutes.

For Swansea, Goalkeeper Michel Vorm has made an impact since signing from Utrecht and has managed to keep two clean sheets against Wigan and Sunderland but it will be a whole new ball game against Arsenal at The Emirates.

Rodgers will be without midfielder Ferrie Bodde (knee) and defender Alan Tate (broken leg). Garry Monk remains a doubt with a foot injury, despite playing for the reserves.

Two of Swansea's deadline day signings, Rafik Halliche and Darnel Situ, will both be unavailable as the pair are waiting for Fifa to sanction the transfers.
