Fulham finished just inside the top-half in their first campaign under Martin Jol, ended on the same points total as Liverpool, and now will be aiming to get off to a flying start.

With summer signings Hugo Rodallega and Mladen Petric ready to make their debuts, Fulham will have a new strike force. George Williams and Sascha Riether could also be involved after completing moves to Craven Cottage. However, Clint Dempsey will not figure as he continues to be linked with a move away from the club. Aaron Hughes is a slight doubt, but will be given as long as possible to prove his fitness before kickoff.
Meanwhile, Welsh midfielder Simon Davies will not be involved as he is nursing a neck complaint and Philippe Senderos picked up a knock during pre-season.

Norwich are hopeful midfielders Wes Hoolahan (Achilles) and Anthony Pilkington (hamstring) will be able to start this match. Summer signings Steven Whittaker (ankle) and Jacob Butterfield (knee) will miss out, but Robert Snodgrass and Michael Turner should start this match. Javier Garrido is awaiting international clearance on his season loan from Lazio, so he misses out.
Meanwhile, midfielder David Fox (knee) and defender Elliott Ward (leg) continue their rehabilitation and misses out.
