The impact with the Seria A level was harsh on Pescara as they started the season with some poor results, but they seem to have turned things around and are now coming into this match on the back of two consecutive wins.

A superb 86th minute goal from Vladimir Weiss earned Pescara their first Seria A victory in almost two decades as they beat struggling Palermo on their previous home game.

Lazio

After a series of poor results Lazio returned home and got back to their winning ways with triumphs over Siena on their previous Seria A game and a 1-0 victory over Maribor in the Europa League that puts them on the lead of their group.

Lazio will now travel to Pescara and will try to avoid another defeat after the humiliating 3-0 loss in Naples. Edinson Cavani scored a hat trick in that match. Nothing announced such a poor result after having won their previous two away games in Serie A against Atalanta and Chievo.

Petkovic will probably stick to his 4-5-1 formation with Miroslav Klose as a lone striker. Klose and Mauri were rested in the midweek game against Maribor, so they should be in excellent shape for this match.
