Football : World Cup European Qualifiers
Tuesday 26th March 2013 – Kickoff time 21:00
Match Preview :
England goes into this match knowing that a defeat would leave them five points adrift of Montenegro in Group H and that would put them into a play-off which could pit them against the likes of Spain or Portugal.
England has had a history in this match as how can one forget the time when Wayne Rooney was infamously sent off in a Euro 2012 qualifier just 18 months ago? Hodgson will not want any sort of indiscipline from Rooney or any other English players this time round and will be looking to build on their resounding 8-0 victory over San Marino on Friday.
The fact they were playing against San Marino allowed the England manager to rest several key players for this game and he will be hoping the return of Steven Gerrard will come to their aid today. Should England picck up all three points then they will go top of the group.
However, Montenegro boss Branko Brnovic believes that the England players will be the ones who are worried going into this crunch clash and accused the England team of being "scared" and suggested it was "arrogant" to have scheduled friendlies in November when those World Cup play-offs are due to be played.

Montenegro Team News :
Montenegro boss Branko Brnovic has made no secret of his plans for the game. "We will maybe park a bus in defence, but we also have two Ferraris in attack," he was quoted as saying. The home side will rely on Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic and highly-rated Fiorentina star Stevan Jovetic to cause England problems. The bus he was referring to is the other nine players to stay at the back.
That could prove easier said than done for a defence that includes former Manchester City flop Stefan Savic and a midfield featuring Simon Vukcevic, who failed to impress at Blackburn.
England Team News :
Roy Hodgson is without a number of defensive options so is set to partner Chris Smalling and Joleon Lescott at the back with Glen Johnson hoping to be fit to start this match instead of Kyle Walker on the right.
The likes of Ashley Young, Frank Lampard, Jermain Defoe and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also expected to make way despite each scoring against San Marino. James Milner and Danny Welbeck look likely to start at the wide positions with Hodgson's biggest decision involved in the make-up of the midfield with a choice to make between Michael Carrick and Scott Parker.
Possible lineups
