Rapid Vienna continued their promising early season form into the opening day of the Austrian Bundesliga season with a 1-0 home win against BW Linz which also extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to an impressive nine games overall.

Jim Goodwin’s side registered a 2-0 win on aggregate against Luxembourg side Una Strassen in the previous qualifying round of this competition, winning 1-0 in both home and away legs, but the Scottish visitors are expected to face much stiffer competition in the shape of Rapid Vienna.
Indeed, the last time Dundee United found themselves on the European stage, The Tangerines suffered a 7-1 thrashing on aggregate by Dutch side AZ despute winning the 1st leg at home 1-0!
