Hungarian hosts Ferencvaros will not only be looking to bounce back from defeat over the weekend in the domestic top flight but also gain a 1st leg lead in this Champions League play-off against Azerbaijan visitors Qarabag on Tuesday night.
Despite slipping up to a 2-1 loss at home to Puskas Akademia in the Hungarian NB 1, Ferencvaros had previously put together a solid and impressive looking 10-match unbeaten sequence in all competitions which consisted of seven wins and three draws.

Qarabag have yet to start their new Azerbaijan top flight campaign but nevertheless, the Azerbaijan visitors have also progressed through to the play-off stage in the Champions League having safely navigated their way through earlier qualifying ties.
Wins against Irish Premier Division side Shelbourne 4-0 on aggregate and North Macedonian side Shkendija 6-1 on aggregate will give Gurban Gurbanov’s side plenty of confidence as they prepare for this upcoming trip to the Groupama Arena on Tuesday night.
Qarabag reached the group stage of last season’s Champions League competition but the visitors face a tricky 1st leg outing to Hungary in midweek.
