Blackburn Rovers suffered another loss in the Championship on the weekend when Valerien Ismael’s side were dealt a 2-0 loss away from home at Coventry City and although Rovers return to Ewood Park for this upcoming midweek clash against fellow strugglers, Sheffield United, recent results will be no guarantee of success for the hosts.
Blackburn have failed to win any of their last four matches in the Championship which consists of three losses and a draw with defeats incurred at the hands of Charlton Athletic, Swansea City and the aforementioned Coventry loss.

Onto Sheffield United and Chris Wilder’s side are now just a point behind their upcoming hosts as the Yorkshire club registered a very welcome 1-0 home win against Watford on Saturday which in turn became a second win in four games for The Blades.
Previously, the visitors had collected all three points with a 1-0 win on the road at Oxford United but there is still plenty of hard work ahead for Chris Wilder and his Sheffield United squad as the visitors have registered just two wins in their 10 games to date, slipping to eight defeats in the process.
Saturday’s win though will serve as a welcome boost for The Blades as they look to pick up back-to-back victories in the English second tier for the first time this season.
