2026-02-28 - Falkirk vs Kilmarnock

Falkirk will be desperate to avoid a third league defeat on the trot when they return to their Falkirk Stadium for Saturday afternoon’s clash with lowly Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership following recent losses to Dundee United 3-2 and league leaders Hearts 2-0 respectively.
Despite the defeats, Falkirk still remain in 6th place in the Premiership table where The Bairns hold a commanding nine-point cushion over 7th placed Dundee United ahead of this weekend’s fixtures north of the border.
John McGlynn’s side had previously captured three wins on the trot by way of Premiership victories over the likes of Livingston and Dundee which were either side of a 2-0 Scottish Cup win against Stenhousemuir, but an overall home record of 5-5-4 20/17 in the Premiership suggests Falkirk are by no means a guaranteed result on Saturday.
Kilmarnock occupy second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership table but the visitors do hold an important eight-point cushion over the basement dwellers Livingston which gives Neil McCann’s side a decent chance of at least avoiding relegation.
Recent results have been pretty ordinary though from Kilmarnock’s perspective as the visitors have managed to pick up just two wins from their last 21 league matches overall, coming in the shape of rare victories against Aberdeen and St Mirren.
No fewer than 14 defeats have been inflicted upon Killie within these previous 21 matches which does not bode well for this upcoming encounter at the Falkirk Stadium but although they’ve slipped to seven defeats on the road this term, an overall away record of 1-6-7 14/30 might give the away side a glimmer of hope here.
The Betting Verdict
Indeed, Kilmarnock have lost by 2 goals or more just once in their last 14 competitive meetings with Falkirk.
The Pick :
Falkirk 1-1 Kilmarnock
