A Sports Betting Pick by ArmchairPunter
Football : Ireland: First Division
Venue: Finn Park
Friday 8th May 2026, 1945hrs (GMT)
Finn Harps finally ended a dismal run of six league matches without a win in the Irish First Division following a welcome three-point haul courtesy of a 2-1 home win against Bray Wanderers and Kevin McHugh’s side will hold home advantage once again when they entertain Kerry FC on Friday night at Finn Park.
The hosts had previously picked up just two points from a possible 18 on offer in these previous six matches after draws with Bray Wanderers and Cork City while also being dealt four defeats in the process, two of which were on home soil at the hands of Athlone Town and Cobh Ramblers.
League wins have been hard to come by though for Finn Harps as they have recorded just two wins from their last 12 matches overall in the domestic second tier which includes being involved in no fewer than five stalemates.
Kerry FC sit just one league position and two points below their upcoming opponents on Friday night as they too have struggled to pick up victories in the Irish First Division, winning just once in their last eight matches overall.
That rare highlight came in the shape of a 1-0 home win against Cork City on Monday but having also been involved in three draws along with slipping to four defeats in the process, the best that the visitors appear to hope for is perhaps a point at Finn Park.
The bigger picture shows Kerry have won just twice in their last 22 league matches while a poor away record currently stands at 0-3-4 7/12 so far this season.
The Betting Verdict
Both Finn Harps and Kerry are in very ordinary looking form right now so a stalemate could well be on the cards here.
The Pick :
Finn Harps 1-1 Kerry
