Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt have been spiralling down for some time now. They are a mess, and some even say their Spanish head coach, Albert Riera, could be sacked after this season, even though he just arrived in January!
The problem is – the team plays terribly in the final run-in for the last European spot. Eintracht Frankfurt have won only once in their last six Bundesliga games and are currently winless in three.
Last week’s 1-2 home defeat against lowly Hamburger SV saw them drop to 8th spot, a point behind the last spot that leads to Europe.
Given that their final two matches are against Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart, it is highly likely that Eintracht Frankfurt will not play in Europe next season.
On top of all problems, their Danish defender, Rasmus Kristensen, received a red card last week and is suspended for this game.
The Betting Verdict
Borussia Dortmund is the best defensive side, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s whopping 60 goals shipped is the third-worst defensive record in the Bundesliga.
The Frankfurt outfit has conceded regularly this season, most often by more than twice per match, and I don’t see how they will end their terrible run against Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund are under pressure to win after losing 3 of their last 4, and I am sure they will give their all in their last home game of the season.
