From a strong European side, Eintracht Frankfurt have become one of the Bundesliga’s biggest disappointments.
Their 16 goals conceded in just five Bundesliga games is their worst record at this stage of a Bundesliga season.

Eintracht Frankfurt will be without Jessic Ngankam, and Malik Pimpong is doubtful for selection. That could leave them short of a couple of attacking options, but their bigger problem is still the defense.

Two wins, two defeats, and a draw is a solid return for Köln so far, who sit two points above Eintracht Frankfurt.
Last week they beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 after three winless games (two defeats), restoring their confidence.
However, here’s a fun fact: it's been a full year since Köln won an away match in the Bundesliga! The last time that happened was in early October 2025, when they narrowly won 0-1 against TSG Hoffenheim.
Their negative away run stretches since then, with 15 winless away games and counting (6 draws, 9 losses).
Köln have bigger problems with absentees than Eintracht Frankfurt. Ellyes Skhiri is out with an ankle injury, while strikers Thijs Dallinga and Ragnar Ache are both unavailable. Rav van den Berg and Timo Hübers are also out, leaving René Wagner short of options in midfield, attack, and defense.
