Saturday 7th November 2026 - Kick Off 3pm
Arsenal
The aim on Wednesday evening was to secure three more points in the Champions League and remain on track for another top eight finish, but Mikel Arteta was far from pleased with the second half performance produced by his Arsenal players. He will be demanding their refocus as they play the last Premier League game before the November international break and The Gunners are able to put some distance between themselves and their main title rivals who play later in the weekend.
Last Sunday, Arsenal snapped a long winless run at Anfield and that means they are now top of the Premier League and 3 points clear of Manchester City. The side have a perfect 4-0-0 record at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal have scored 9 goals and conceded just twice.
Arsenal have recovered from losing in the League Cup Fourth Round by winning the last 2 games, both away from home, while they have won the last 4 Premier League games since losing 3-0 at Brighton before the last international break. They are having little problem playing in front of the home supporters and Arsenal have won 9 in a row at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions.
Max Dowman is suspended, while Ezri Konsa may be a doubt after being taken off in the second half on Wednesday.
Hull City
When you are leading with around 15 minutes to play, failing to earn the three points will be disappointing and especially when you are playing at home. That is the case for Hull City after the 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town last weekend and has extended the winless run in the Premier League.
The Tigers are 11th in the Premier League table and have 11 points on the board as they have proven to be a stubborn team to beat, but Sergej Jakirovic will be hoping his team can turn a few draws into wins. They will be travelling to North London to face the Champions with a 1-1-2 away record after scoring 4 goals and conceding 5.
Hull City have not won any of the last 8 games in all competitions and none of the last 7 Premier League games since winning 0-1 at Coventry City back in August. The side have lost consecutive away Premier League games at Newcastle United and Fulham ahead of this fixture in the capital.
Matt Crooks is suspended and a number of the squad will be missing this trip with the hope the upcoming break allows them to return when Hull City resume action later in the month.
Head to Head
Arsenal and Hull City face one another for the first time since the 2016/17 Premier League season.
The Gunners have won 5 of the last 7 at home against Hull City in all competitions, although 2 of the last 4 here have ended in draws.
Prediction
An unhappy manager will be demanding a more positive overall performance from his team this weekend and that makes it very hard to oppose Arsenal.
The Champions are a very short price and would be big favourites in most situations when hosting one of the promoted clubs, but the late goal conceded after a poor second half display at Slavia Prague on Wednesday angered Mikel Arteta.
That should mean we get an Arsenal team doubly focused in their bid to maintain at least a 3 point gap over their main rivals in the Premier League title race and that will make things very difficult for Hull City.
Credit has to be given to The Tigers for the 11 points secured this season, but they are winless in 7 Premier League games and were completely outclassed in the last away game played. The 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage is a scoreline that does not paint a picture of the home dominance and containing Arsenal feels impossible for a team that has had a single away clean sheet this season.
Hull City can take positives out of the performances at Chelsea and Newcastle United, but this is an Arsenal team that have shown for some time that they are defensively very tough to breach when focused. Only 2 goals have been conceded at home this season and Arsenal have won 9 in a row at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions and so the easiest approach to take looks to be backing the Champions to earn the three points in a game where they are expected to keep a clean sheet.
