Analysis:Chelsea welcomes the return of Claudio Ranieri to Stamford Bridge but they will want to get the win here in the first leg before they meet up again in Turin for the second leg.

As for the team news, Chelsea will miss Deco due to a hamstring. Ricardo Carvalho could return after hamstring injury. But the game has come too soon for Michael Essien who has resumed light training only. Joe Cole is out for the season with a knee ligament damage.
As for Juventus, Alessandro Del Piero will start this match after being rested. He is set to partner Amauri in attack which means that David Trezeguet will be left out. In the middle of midfield we can see former Chelsea player Tiago partnering former Liverpool player Mohammad Sissoko. Meanwhile ex-Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg will hope to start this match at some point.
