A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Analysis:Wolves comes into this match seeking only their second win this season against Aston Villa who will be confident of a win after beating Chelsea in their last match.
Wolves have lost to both Sunderland and Portsmouth since their last home win against Fulham at home. In their last match they did managed to avoid defeat when they secured a draw against Everton away from home. They are currently lying in 16th spot and has managed eight points from nine games which is not too impressive at all.
Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa upset the odds to beat Chelsea 2-1 and that too having to come back from a goal down. It was a good performance from them with Richard Dunne and James Collins cancelling out Didier Drogba earlier goal to secure three maximum points and go sixth in the table.
In seven Premiership matches they were beaten just once when they were on the receiving end against Blackburn going down 2-1. They have a game in hand and are just six points below Champions Manchester United.
For the team news, the home side will be missing suspended striker Stefan Maierhofer for the visit of Aston Villa. David Jones, Andrew Surman and Stephen Ward are all struggling with knee injuries and will also miss out. Striker Chris Iwelumo and defender Richard Stearman who played in the reserves in midwek will be given late fitness tests to see if they are fully match fit.
As for the visitors, they will miss the services of Curtis Davies due to a shoulder injury. Full-back Luke Young will hope to start this match after missing the match against Chelsea with injury. In attack we will see Gabriel Agbonlahor and John Carew starting upfront which means that there will be no place for Emile Heskey. Meanwhile, Stewart Downing is out on long term with a foot injury.
