THE SITUATION
Two days ago these two teams met in Washington. Indiana were underdogs of 2 points and got thumped hard, 104-90.
Now the Indiana Pacers (13-17, 8-8 home) host the Washington Wizards (8-22, 0-15 Road) in Indiana on new years eve as 6 point favourites. I'm thinking this is a great revenge spot.
In head to head, the Pacers have an excellent record against Washington when playing at home. Of their last 34 games, they have won 28 and have covered the spread on 21 occasions with 2 pushes. When playing as a big favourite, they have been particularly brutal to the Wizards.
The Wizards do come into this one off a win, but they are actually a great team to bet against when in this spot. The last 54 times they've won a game, they have lost the next one 45 times!!! Their away record is on a winless run of 16 games, which covers not just this season but goes back to the last one too!
Indiana have lost their last 3 matches, to Memphis, then Boston and then lowly Washington.
