So the Saints lost, again. New Orleans are now 0-4, with Drew Brees playing, the man who has been their QB since moving here in 2006 from San Diego, and has made them the leagues top ranked offence over that time, gaining over 400 yards per game. Surely they win this one?

In 4 of the last 5 seasons, the Saints offence has been the best in the NFL. I realise it seems stupid to make an 0-4 team favourites of 3 points over a team that is 3-1 but it's because Drew Brees finally looked like himself last week, when he pushed the Packers all the way, with his team finally losing by just 1 point.

I realise the Saints defence is piss poor, but the Chargers do not seem to have a pass rush at all. When they faced the Atlanta Falcons, I suggested we take Atlanta +3 and they ended up winning 27-3! That's the kind of damage the Saints can do, especially at home in the dome, where they are seriously due a win.

Brees will surely break Unitas' record of consecutive games with TD passes, but I am really expecting him to go to town here. He's going to pass often, and early, and no matter what San Diego do on offence themselves, they're going to find it tough keep Brees quiet.

Brees has played 4 games and lost all of them but look at his passing numbers. There have been 5 interceptions, but 10 TDs, and the most glaring has been his 1350 yards so far, averaging 337.5 per game.

BETTING VERDICT

Brees is going to try and win this on his own, and I expect similar yardage here. Expect huge plays all game and so the best bet I can find here is on Brees to rack up big yardage through the air.
