BETTING PREVIEW
This is a game reigning champions Manchester City really need to win, especially if Manchester United go on to beat Liverpool in the game played earlier in the day. Unfortunately, City are on the road down in London for this one, and history shows they have not done well here.
Arsenal get so much negative press it would be easy to think they're about to get slaughtered because they are about to play the defending champs. But have a look, Arsenal have not been beaten in their last 5 games, winning 4, and if you take away that blip at Southampton they have actually been a good run recently. At home, they have lost only twice this season, one of which being a last minute loss to Swansea who surprised them at the death.
Against City, Arsenal performed very well, holding Mancini's expensively assembled side to a 1-1 draw at the Emptihad. Back here they have a damn good chance of winning. In fact, the last time Manchester City came to Arsenal for a league game, they lost without even scoring a goal. In fact, they have failed to score the last 5 visits to the Emirates!
Arsenal too are desperate for a win here, as Chelsea and Tottenham are both ahead of them and dropping points may well result in their job at securing a top 4 finish becoming more difficult. Arsenal did excellently in beating Tottenham here 5-2, and I think they will be in the right mindset here to rack up a big win. While there is a boost with Walcott about to resign, and the likes of Giroud fit again to combine with Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla and the Ox, the visitors come here shorn of a lot of talent that they desperately needed for this match.
Mancini will bring a side here without the Toure brothers, Aguero, Balotelli or Nasri. That's too much talent missing, and this team have been given a rough time on their travels, losing 1-0 at Sunderland before just about getting past Norwich City, where they scraped by 3-2 in the end.
THE BETTING VERDICT
Call me crazy, or just a die hard Arsenal fan (same thing), but I think Manchester City, who have never won a Premier League game here, are in for a day that starts bad and just gets worse.
Manchester City had a player sent off the last time they came here and there is a big chance we see a red card here again as Arsenal frustrate their visitors.
In a game I honestly think Arsenal will win, I'm going to take a chance on the AH and see if we can't milk it for everything we can get. Big Arsenal win, and I think they take it by more than just 1 goal.
