Analysis:Real Madrid goes into this match with a six points cushion lead over Villarreal in second place and will be keen not to lose this match even though they have a poor record on their travels as they have managed just one win in their last four away games. However the good news for Real Madrid is they managed to stop a run of two consecutive defeats when they managed to beat Sevilla 3-1 at home in their last match. Their last draw was against Real Murcia 1-1 away from home on the 24th November last year and that was some 18 matches ago!
However they have not won three matches in a row since February and in their past ten matches each home win was followed by an away defeat that trend started on the 27th January when they beat Villarreal only to lose to lowly Almeria after that away from home.
Now they have just beaten Sevilla, and could struggle once again away from home.
