–Diamondbacks look to play spoiler against Giants

MLB betting spoilers are running rampant with a month left, and even though Arizona doesn’t have anything left to play for, they can throw a wrench into the wild-card plans of NL West rivals San Francisco, while doing another West team, Colorado, a favor.
Tuesday’s series opener at AT&T Park features a Cy Young contender against a struggling ace trying to get back on track.
Arizona Diamondbacks
(55-70 overall; 27-35 road)
Dan Haren (12-8, 2.74) is just looking to get out of August, where he is 2-2 in four starts with a 5.88 ERA, and he’s allowed five runs or more in his last three outings away from home.
A 2-0 loss in San Francisco on April 17th dropped his career record to 6-5 in 14 outings (13 starts) against the Giants, but he still has a respectable 2.89 ERA. For whatever reason, Haren has always struggled in August, going 16-14 in 35 games (33 starts), to go with a 4.67 ERA.
San Francisco Giants
(67-57 overall; 39-20 home)
Matt Cain (12-4, 2.43) is 0-2 in his last five outings, but in only two of those games has he given up more than three runs.
He’s 1-0 in two starts against the Diamondbacks this year with a 3.38 ERA, and he’s now 4-3 in 12 career starts with a 3.39 ERA while taking on the Giants’ West rivals.
Like Haren, Cain’s spent most of August on the road, and he’ll be ecstatic to get back to AT&T Park, where he is 6-2 in 12 starts with a 2.37 ERA.
The Betting Verdict :
The Rockies lost two of three in San Francisco in April, and the Giants are infinitely better at home, which is why they should be the favorites in your offshore sportsbook.
Arizona has nothing to lose, which makes them dangerous, but Haren has been getting hit hard on the road as of late. He’s also facing a pitcher who is rock solid at home, and after a tough series in Colorado, the Giants will be excited to be in front of their own fans.
