Analysis:

Atalanta will be managerless for this trip to Palermo after Coach Antonio Conte has resigned after a row with the fans. The visitors are battling against relegation and lie one place off the foot off the table behind Siena though with a game in hand.

Conte engaged in a verbal brawl after the 2-0 hom defeat to Napoli which made him to resigned. President Alessandro Ruggeri defended the fans when he said that the fans are an important part of Atalanta and Conte should not have gotten involved in the first place.

As for Palermo, since Walter Zenga’s dismissal the arrival of Delio Rossi has seen Palermo climbed up the standings to joint seventh place alongside Fiorentina and surprise package Bari.

Edinson Cavani scored a fantastic goal in the midweek 1-1 at Sampdoria, but Fabrizio Miccoli has to sit out due to suspension. This means that Igor Budan will partner the Uruguayan upfront. Chelsea transfer target Javier Pastore is another option for the midfield.

One thing is for sure that we can expect a lot of goals as these sides have created 79 goals in 31 meetings.
