Even though there are many stages left, I don’t think I’m taking a lot of chances when saying that Unirea Urziceni will be one of the four teams relegated at the end of the season. I believe I can even say that this club will cease to exist in the upcoming year.

The fact that their top scorer only scored two goals this season reflects the situation at the club. They changed almost half the squad in the winter break period and signed some modest players, most of them on-loan.

Unirea could have pulled off a positive result in the previous stage, as they took the lead at 1-0, then scored for 2-1, but ended up losing the game against Universitatea Cluj with 4-2.

Urziceni lost all 3 games in 2011, failing to score in 2 of them, so there is really not much hope for this team (that won the title in 2009) to avoid relegation.

FC Brasov (12th W-5 D-10 L-6)

Brasov on the other hand is unbeaten in 2011, after a least impressive match against Universitatea Cluj that ended in a draw, Brasov travelled to Bucharest where they humiliated Steaua Bucuresti, scoring some superb goals that led to a 3-0 victory. It’s been 41 years since their previous victory over Steaua in Bucharest.

Antonio Conceicao’s team continued their good form by drawing against one of the top teams from the league, FC Vaslui (3rd) and are now travelling to Urziceni, where under these circumstances they should hope for all three points.

Despite not having an impressive record on the road, Brasov made some important changes in their squad in the winter transfer period, including a new coach in the person of Antonio Conceicao, who also managed CFR Cluj in 2009. He brought some Portuguese and Brazilian players that added quality to their game, which has been proved in the Steaua match.

Conceicao won’t be able to use midfielder Alexandru Chipciu, who is suspended, while Hadnagy and Dedu are both doubtful.

The Betting Verdict

The form and confidence of the teams that will meet in this game is quite opposite, while Urziceni is struggling to score and collect points, Brasov showed some great potential and they seem capable to beat any team from the league at this moment.
