PREVIEW
The Twins may be home but they are in the middle of a season worst 10 game losing streak. They will now face Seattle's young ace, and I have a feeling that streak is set to continue.
The Seattle Mariners send out right-handed Michael Pineda, who is 9-10 with a 3.72ERA. Pineda will be keep to perform here as he faces a weak side struggling badly and Pineda will have a good chance to pick up a win, something he has not done in his last 6 starts, despite playing well.
In his last 4 starts, the 22 year old hurler has allowed 3 earned runs or less but the lack of run support has kept his win column stagnant. However, the rookies that have started recently seem to be doing well with the bats an should have success again tonight against a poor pitcher. Mike Carp is batting .305 with 11 homers and had a 5 hit game yesterday. Alex Liddi, another rookie, has had homers in his last 2 games.
The Minnesota Twins will send out right-handed Kevin Slowey to stop the rut but I don't know how that is going to happen when the poor guy is 0-6 himself with a 6.51ERA! Slowey used to be a relief pitcher but his place in the starting line-up has not paid dividends so far. He has given up 7 homers in that time.

BETTING VERDICT
If you think this 10 game losing streak isn't bad, consider that Minnesota have won just 1 of their last 16! No way I bet on them. Take Seattle.
