Bottom of the table clash here as 18th placed Greuther Furth entertain 17th placed Hoffenheim, who are just 2 points ahead of them and so in leapfrogging distance. Funnily, (well not for them), Furth boast the worst home record in the league, while Hoffenheim's away record stinks worse than anyone elses!

Greuther Furth have won exactly none of their home games in 12 attempts, losing 8! Hoffenheim have won just 1 of their 11 away games, losing 9! Someone might just get a chance to better those poor records, and my money is on the home team.

I was hugely encouraged by the way Furth fell behind at Hoffenheim earlier this season, only to equalise, something they did 3 times to get themselves a 3-3 draw and a well deserved point. They have only won 1 of their last 22 league games, but it came just a couple of weeks ago, in Schalke, a 2-1 result.

Since then they lost narrowly against Wolfsburg and Dusseldorf, both 1-0 scores that are nothing to be ashamed about. After that, they have picked up 2 points, holding Bayer Leverkusen to a 0-0 draw before getting a 1-1 result in Hamburg!

Hoffenheim may have stuck with Bayern last week, but they still lost 1-0, and that means they are now losers of 5 away games on the trot! Another loss would be a new club record for a losing run in away games!

The Hoffenheim defence absolutely sucks, and I was surprised Bayern did not score more, but that was at home. Away, they are bound to let in a few, even to a low scoring team like Furth. Hoffenheim have allowed 49 goals this season, most in the Bundesliga!

THE BETTING VERDICT

Greuther Furth have been playing well and they are more than due a result at home. They do not want to become the first Bundesliga side to fail to win any of the first 13 home games, and I don't think they will.
