Relegation threatened Turnu Severin started the year with two draws, but couldn’t avoid the defeat last weekend against Universitatea Cluj, a team that is also fighting to avoid the drop.

Gaz Metan Medias recorded a second consecutive home win last week after an impressive performance against Viitorul Constanta in a match that ended 4-1 for the hosts.
Coach Gigi Multescu - who took over the team just weeks before the second part of the championship started - accused the former technicians for a poor physical preparation of the team in the winter break, according to him his team can only play 70 minutes at full capacity.
That was enough to score 7 goals in two home games though, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a severe away defeat against leaders Steaua Bucuresti two weeks ago (3-0).
Gaz Metan Medias will be seeking to obtain their second victory on the road this season, they’ve only beat Viitorul Constanta in a match that was played back in August.
The Betting Verdict
With only two victories this season, Turnu Severin is likely to return to Liga 2 after just one season spent in the top flight.
Gaz Metan Medias on the other hand will be a team hard to defeat under experimented coach Gigi Multescu, I will definitely back them whenever I consider there is value in doing it, just like I did last weekend when they’ve won 4-1 at home.
Turnu Severin is desperate for point, so I’m expecting them to be determined to pick up point or points, but Gaz Metan’s superior quality should help them return home undefeated.
