English Premier
2008-03-02 - Bolton Wanderers vs Liverpool
A Sports Betting Pick by Duncan
Liverpool travel to the Reebok Stadium on Sunday looking to regain 4th spot in the Premiership.During the week Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard spoke about the disappointing Premiership season that Liverpool have had - well below what they were aiming for at the start of the season. And so now they are fighting for 4th place finish to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Gary Megson's Bolton side are now in 17th spot on goal diference following Saturday's matches. The transfer of Nicolas Anelka to Chelsea has affected Bolton as they have not found the goal scoring touch regularly since he left.
Bolton have a fully fit squad coming into this game and in their favour they know Liverpool have struggled visiting them in recent season's and Bolton have in most cases come out on top.
Rafa Benitez will welcome back Jamie Carragher to the Liverpool side following his suspension last week. Daniel Agger made an ppearance midweek for the reserve team and could be included in this game as he came through unscathered, Martin Skrtel also played in that game as well - so Liverpool's defensive line wil be boosted over the coming weeks with both Agger and skrtel returning.
Javier Mascherano boosted Liverpool's squad at the end of the week by signing a long term deal with the club - this again showing faith in manager Rafa Benitez.......
Bolton know Liverpool haven't enjoyed visit's to the Reebok Stadium in recent season's. But this time around Liverpool face a Gary Megson side struggling to score goals.
Liverpool themselves don't always score a huge amount of goals and have relyed on Torres and Gerrard for the goals. Although in recent weeks both Crouch and Kuyt have found the back of the net - so jst may be a turn in form for them.
Quite simply Liverpool need the points in this game, Bolton won't make it easy - but I'm picking Liverpool to do the business here to turn the table at a ground they have struggled at in recent season's.
