Eng. Championship News :: Reading face Swansea in Championship Playoff for Premier League spot

Reading will take on Swansea City in the Championship play-off final after sweeping aside Cardiff City to ruin the prospects of an all-Welsh clash.

The Royals won 3-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday to complete an aggregate win by the same score, while the Swans had eased past Nottingham Forest 3-1 the previous evening.

A spot in the 2011/12 Premier League and a reported cash boost of £90m is now on the line. The two teams will face off at Wembley on Monday 30th May (KO 3pm) with a place in the top flight the reward for the winner.
