When a team has injuries and the DL starts looking a bit full, teams tend to trade and bring in fresh, fit players to see them through the remainder of the season. Other than bringing in Cliff Lee, Texas have not done much trading, and it might come back and bite them on the a*rse.
The Rangers have 8 pitchers currently on the DL, injured, or out for the season. It's affecting them, as the teams ERA in the last week is 5.75. Injured Scott Feldman will be sent out to make his 1st start since July and I'm not so confident about him keeping Toronto quiet.
Feldman struggled early in the season and has been shifted to the bullpen and then to the DL and is now being brought in to cover for the injured Cliff Lee. Feldman is 0-3 with a 5.94 ERA in 8 appearances, 5 of them starts, against Toronto.
Toronto Blue Jays
Shaun Marcum pitches for the home team and he has some poor numbers against his opponents too. Despite being one of the best pitchers at the Blue Jays, he has a 5.33ERA against Texas, spanning just over 25 innings of work.
Not much more to say, other than Texas look good for 3-4 runs at least with Marcum pitching. I'm expecting the Toronto offence to be good enough to give Feldman an awful evening.
