Otelul Galati picked up a point on Saturday against fifth placed Astra Giurgiu in a dull encounter that ended with a goalless draw.
It was Otelul’s fourth consecutive away game without a win, but they will now return to Galati where they’ve performed much better lately.

Universitatea Cluj made a huge step towards survival with their 2-1 Saturday victory over out of form Vaslui, which allowed Universitatea to put five points between them and the drop zone.
It was their third win in four home games which is quite a performance for a club that deals with huge financial issues, they might even get relegated for this reason.
The team from Cluj-Napoca ended a five games unbeaten run on the road with a 2-1 defeat to Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt last time around. Universitatea will now travel to Galati trying to avoid an eight consecutive defeat there.
The Betting Verdict
I backed Otelul Galati on three of their five home games in 2013 which all ended with a home win, so I see no reason not to do it again against a side that has such a poor record in Galati.
As I mentioned before, Universitatea Cluj lost on their last seven trips to Galati, six of which by a two or more goal margin.
Universitatea Cluj still need points to secure their survival, but with a five points gap over the drop zone they should be more relaxed knowing that they have two more home games to play until the end of the season.
Otelul Galati is not the side that won the championship two years ago, but they are still a team that can get the job done when playing at home, Galati remains one of the toughest trips in the Liga 1 calendar.
