Prior to the defeat to Valencia at home, they played a draw with Rayo Vallecano when it ended by 2-2. They have only lost once away from home and that was against Eibar. They have beaten Villarreal, Huesca, and Athletic Bilbao at the San Memes by 3-1 in their last match.
As for the team news, Zaldua is still injured so Gorosabel continues to play at right back. On the other hand, left back T.Hernandez is suspended. Now we can expected to see Zurutuza and Willian Jose starting this match.
FC Girona
They started well with two wins in the first four rounds. In the last four rounds they only lost to Real Madrid at home. They were beaten twice at home against the likes of Betis and Eibar. The 2-2 draw they managed against Barcelona is as good as a win. They could have managed more against Huesca but it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Much depends on their attacking trio and at the moment Stuani is doing well having scored eight goals out of the ten they have scored so far. Portu and Borja are not playing as well as they did last season. In the draw with Barcelona, Stuani scored both their goals. He also scored in the draw with Huesca and both in their defeat by Eibar in the last round.
Now coach Eusebio will have a problem as he will miss the services of midfielder Granell and in his place will be A.Garcia omn the field.
