St Louis Rams
St Louis come into this with the joint 2nd worst record in the NFL. 3-10 is tied with the Falcons and the 49er's and they are not 2 teams you want to be level with.
The Rams sit at the bottom of the NFC West below the 49ers but have been in (relatively) good form recently. They were 0-8 and threatening to go 0-16 with Miami but they pulled out a shock win in New Orleans and have gone 3-2 since those first 8 losses.
St Louis also beat San Fran and Atlanta recently but went down 19-10 to the Bengals last week to stop their run. They have used 2 QB's in the last 2 games with Berlin taking the last one and having a stinker with 0 TD's and 1 interception.
Steven Jackson is their main man and his return recently has been a huge boost to the Rams and he is why they have started winning games. Also Torry Holt is a great WR and if the QB throws to him, he can make the plays. They might be giving Berlin a chance at QB for some experience but he is not capable of leading his team to a victory just yet. A lot of pressure will be on Jackson here.
Green Bay Packers
Green Bay have wrapt up their division with an 11-2 record and will go through as 2nd seeds barring a huge collapse in the NFC.
The 2 defeats were an unbelievable loss at home to Chicago and a tough loss away to conference rivals Dallas when they lost Brett Favre early in that game.
Brett Favre has been absolutely sensational this year and rediscovered his form from his prime. Even he wouldn't have expected to be having such a fantastic season and he certainly won't want it to end.
Ryan Grant has been an amazing success since being installed as the RB and he is gaining yards for fun. He gets close to 100 yard a game every game and this gives the Packers a great balanced offence to cut through defences.
The Verdict
I'm going with the Packers here simply because they won't rest anybody yet and won't take their foot off the pedal until they clinch that 2nd seed spot for sure.
Favre will want to win every game he is involved in and this one will be no different.
St Louis are an improving team but they are giving experience to those young guns which means they are there for the taking here. Ryan Grant is inline for another big day so take him for an anytime Touchdown.
