Much like Denmark, France will feel they need to improve defensively if they are going to have the kind of run that they will expect. Both Georgia U21 and Poland U21 did create some good chances against the French defence and this should mean a Quarter Final with a few goals shared out.
France may have the mental edge having crushed Denmark 4-1 in a friendly in their most recent meeting in 2023, although the turnaround in Under 21 Football should mean that is largely irrelevant.
Prediction
All four Under 21 European Championship Quarter Finals should bring some entertainment to the field, including the Denmark U21 taking on France U21.
This is the one fixture the layers feel most strongly about with France set as a solid odds on favourite to win.
Denmark should be respected, but the underlying numbers suggest they are a vulnerable Group Winner and France have shown plenty in the last two games in the Group Stage to remind everyone why they were considered one of the favourites to win the tournament.
Nothing will come easy for a France team that can be vulnerable at the back, but the attacking talent should come to the fore and take the nation through to the Semi Final.
