Depending on other results earlier in the day, Chelsea could potentially be sitting in 2nd place overnight and that will ease any pressure being felt by manager Enzo Maresca. The Blues have a 2-1-2 record at Stamford Bridge and that does need to be improved over the coming months.
Chelsea have lost 1 of their last 8 games in all competitions and they have picked up 6 wins in that time, which will have built up some real confidence. However, they were beaten 1-2 by Sunderland in the last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge, which snapped a 3 game winning run at home in all competitions.
Romeo Lavia came off with an early injury against Qarabag and is set to miss out, but Pedro Neto should be available. Some key players were given a bit of a rest in that Champions League game and a stronger Chelsea eleven is expected to be selected for this fixture.

Just days before Christmas 2024, Vitor Pereira was appointed manager as Wolves and sparked a big turnaround for a club that looked destined for Relegation. His performance earned him a new contract in September, but six weeks later Vitor Pereira has been Sacked with Wolves once again looking in desperate trouble at the foot of the Premier League table and with fans clearly unhappy with what they have been watching.
The board have had discussions with Gary O'Neil, who was Sacked last year, but the former manager has turned the job down after those talks. It makes the November international break very important for the Wolves board to find the right appointment and it is set to be James Collins who leads them into this fixture. The side are 8 points from safety and travel to London with a 0-1-4 away record in the top flight.
Wolves have lost 4 games in a row in all competitions and the final straw for the board as far as Vitor Pereira went was the 3-0 defeat at Fulham, who had entered the game in 17th place in the Premier League table. The poor away form began at the end of last season and Wolves have lost 6 of their last 7 on their travels in the Premier League.
Emmanuel Agbadou did his team no favours by being sent off last week and he is going to be serving his suspension. Matt Doherty is set to miss out again and Rodrigo Gomes could be out for up to three months.

They were beaten at Stamford Bridge in the last League game played here against Sunderland, but Chelsea had won 3 in a row at home in all competitions prior to that and the visiting team is in a tough spot.
Last weekend Wolves visited West London and were well beaten by Fulham.
This result meant the end of Vitor Pereira's time as manager of the club and Wolves have yet to find someone who is willing to take on the task of keeping them in the Premier League. It is a great task with the team 8 points from safety and the only top flight club yet to win a League fixture this season, while it feels like all of the recent transfer activity is coming back to haunt them.
Key players have been sold in the summer windows of the last couple of years and Wolves look really short.

Wolves have simply put too much pressure on the attacking players to keep them competitive and this feels like another difficult game for a team lacking direction.
