Under the guidance of head coach Gerardo Seoane, Borussia Monchengladbach is aiming to build upon their mid-table finish from the previous season.

After seven years of struggling and competing in the 2.Bundesliga, Hamburger SV are finally back in the Bundesliga! This should be an interesting season for them, seeking to avoid a quick drop down.
They made some signings to improve their team, most notably bringing the Danish midfielder Yussuf Poulsen from RB Leipzig, who will also be their captain this season.
Interestingly, the club has invested in some modern communication strategies, such as a color-coded system to streamline tactical instructions, and we will see if that helps them this season.
Despite modernization and other efforts, Hamburger SV will certainly need some time to adapt to the higher tempo of Bundesliga games. Their recent friendlies have shown they have solid potential, but still do not look quick and energetic enough for this level of football.
The Betting Verdict
Borussia Monchengladbach should have enough to take this one. They start at home against a newcomer; they are experienced in the Bundesliga, and have the quality up front to break down Hamburger SV.
HSV will make things interesting, but they are still finding their feet in the top flight.
I think Borussia Monchengladbach will win it narrowly, in a game with a few goals and plenty of attacking movements.
