Nice bounced back from their recent 2-1 loss to Celta Vigo in the Europa League on the weekend in the French top flight as Franck Haise’s side registered a welcome 2-1 win away from home at Rennes to keep Nice in touch with the top six clubs sitting above them in the Ligue 1 table.
Three points separate Nice from their 5th place placed visitors Lille ahead of the midweek fixtures in the domestic top flight but having previously beaten Lyon 3-2 at home in Ligue 1, Wednesday night’s hosts Nice will now be looking to capture a third successive win at their Allianz Riviera.

Lille occupy 5th place in the Ligue 1 table thanks to inflicting a comprehensive 6-1 thrashing of bottom club Metz at home over the weekend to make it three games without defeat for Bruno Genesio’s side.
Lille had previously gained a point in a 1-1 draw at home with PSG along with collecting all three points by way of a 2-0 win on the road at Nantes, so they too will be in confident mood that they can get something from this upcoming trip to the Allianz Riviera on Wednesday night.
With an away record of 2-1-1 12/7 so far in this season’s Ligue 1 campaign, Lille are likely to pose a few problems for Nice on Wednesday night although the hosts have been tough to beat at home so far this term.
