English Non-League
2026-02-24 - Halifax vs Rochdale

Venue: The Shay
Tuesday 24th February 2026, 1945hrs (GMT)
Halifax sit on the fringes of the play-off pack in 8th place in the National League table but the hosts’ play-off ambitions have taken a dent in recent weeks as The Shaymen have suffered three defeats within their last five league matches.
Losses to Aldershot, Gateshead and Saturday’s heavy 4-1 defeat away from home at York City have resulted in Halifax still chasing a spot in the top seven of the non-league top flight ahead of Tuesday night’s encounter with the league leaders Rochdale.
Halifax last tasted victory in mid-February when they registered a 1-0 home win against Truro City but that has been Halifax’s only highlight in their last seven matches in all competitions.
Nevertheless, an overall home record of 9-4-3 30/17 suggests Adam Lakeland’s side are due to bounce back with a result some time soon on home soil.
Rochdale by contrast recorded a straightforward 3-0 home win against Woking in the National League on the weekend which in turn extended Dale’s unbeaten run to 10 matches across all competitions.
With eight wins along with two draws, Rochdale are enjoying a purple patch of form lately but it should be noted that only two of these eight victories were achieved on their travels with wins at Gateshead and Solihull Moors respectively.
In addition, only six of Rochdale’s 15 away matches so far in this season’s National League campaign have been by 2 goals or more amidst an away record of 11-2-2 25/11.
The Betting Verdict
Halifax have lost only once in their previous seven meetings with Rochdale and that was in a 2-1 loss away from home back in October 2024.
The Pick :
Halifax 1-1 Rochdale
