Walsall slipped back into their old ways in League Two in their midweek fixture at home to Fleetwood Town as The Saddlers suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at the Bescot Stadium which has left the west midlands hosts three points adrift of the play-off pack.
Walsall have now managed to capture just one win in their last nine matches in the domestic fourth tier which came in the form of a 2-1 win away from home at Shrewsbury Town but despite picking up points in four draws as well, the other four defeats have damaged Walsall’s ambitions of a play-off spot.

A 1-0 loss at home to Grimsby Town and a 1-0 defeat on the road at Shrewsbury Town were either side of a 5-0 thumping over Tranmere Rovers at Meadow Lane but The Magpies are still only one point shy of 3rd placed MK Dons ahead of this weekend’s action.
With just two defeats in their last 10 matches in the domestic fourth tier, Notts County will be eager to return to winning ways in the west midlands on Saturday afternoon although an overall away record of 7-4-5 19/17 suggests the visitors may not get it all their own way at the Bescot Stadium.
