The 3-0 defeat at Real Madrid was nothing short of embarrassing for Manchester City on Wednesday and it really felt like another night in which manager Guardiola had gotten his team completely wrong from the outset.
Being three goals down at half time will back up that feeling, while Manchester City dropped two critical points in the Premier League at the beginning of the month. All of a sudden they could find themselves trailing leaders Arsenal by 10 points at kick off on Saturday evening if Mikel Arteta's team have won earlier in the day.

A much changed Manchester City team won well at Newcastle United last Saturday and they may just do enough to edge to the three points in a game where they will likely need to show some quality in the final third.
