Perhaps a positive for Köln is that they are now entering a stretch in which they will face all their bottom opponents. After Hamburger SV, their next three games are against direct relegation rivals: Borussia Mönchengladbach, Werder Bremen, and St. Pauli.
English centre-back Jahmai Simpson-Pusey got sent off last week, so their defence will be further weakened in this match.
Speaking of defending, Köln conceded two or more goals in each of their last five winless Bundesliga games.
Also, Köln haven’t won on the road in seven games, losing each of their last three away games.
