However, recent results have been overshadowed by the visitors finding themselves on the losing side in four of their last six matches in the domestic top flight which includes defeats on the road at Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv in heavy 3-0 and 4-0 losses respectively.
Having won just three of their last nine matches overall including six defeats, Maccabi Haifa look to be at a distinct disadvantage when they make their way to Bloomfield on Wednesday night.
